I think it may be possible that when he was so sick there was some damage to his eyesight. Could be possible?
I know that when Orion FINALLY shot at a crick on her own I had fed her a lot the day before. He will start eating if/when he is ready. Even though she finally ate, she was only eating about 2 pinheads/day. Just 3 days ago she started to eat a FULL breakfast, and some supper! I have NEVER seen her eat like that before! She was only sick a short while too. I think it will take Zoe a bit longer to get back to "normal". And, who knows? Maybe he will never eat on his own again. Maybe he is smart: I know I would rather be lazy and fed by hand than have to hunt. Lol.
As far as letting nature take its course, I think there is also some merit in giving a strong spirit a chance. I think that he starting to get better, even if he never returns to be 100% again. As long as he is showing good colours, I think he will have a good life. If he decides it isn't worth it anymore, he will let you know. Trust in that.
All the best
~Lindsay
