Probably no one knows this. I would keep trying to wean him off it if you can, and continue it if it doesn't work. Chams can take a long time to get over illness. Try to get as much "natural" gutloaded insect into the juice as possible so you aren't introducing proteins etc. that are hard for him to digest. Once he's well enough to eat on his own he may make up for lost time in growth too. Many chams are still actively growing a little at over a year, so it is possible.
