: I have recently became a new owner of a pair of senegal chameleons. I am looking for any info i can about the species of chameleons. I have a male and a female and the male violently attacks the female. At first i thought that this might be mating behavior but the male doesn't mate and just attacks. I am taking the male to the pet store where i got the senegal's to see what they know and i might get rid of him. if you have any info on this or anything on senegal chameleons besides temps and how they have more parasites (mine are perfectly healthy) please e-mail me asap.
: thanks
Yours may be healthy now but if they have parasites i will bet you money they won't be healthy after a few months unless its taken care of. you never should keep multiple chams together unless: they are only together to breed, they are under sexual maturity, it is a species that isn't terretorial or the pair doesn't fight and neither are stressed. you have to separate them. also sense you are listening to a petstore you probably have them in a glass cage. another no no. they like screen cages. get some books and start reading.
