It appears to be the same thing as coastals with 1/3 side stripes that are the so-called hets and produce total side striped or dorsal striped offspring. My female jungle has some dorsal joining in her light pattern elements and a black ventral stripe. Her offspring (only one so it's a bad sample) did not have the striped back, but does have the striped ventral surface. Is it a morph, no...is it passed on aka genetic....yes I believe so.
