Hi David, i have had this problem with a couple diamonds and some jcps. First step is to try scenting a rat with mice scent, some take it when just rubbed over the rat, others need you to get a pinkie and smash it and cover the rat in the bloody mess(disgusting i know but it works). If this doesnt work heat up the tank to about 34 degrees celcius(not sure what farenhite) for a couple hours and then try, the heat makes them a bit aggresive and this should work.If it doesnt try again in a weeks time.If all this doesnt work, try rubbing a rat over a mouse and then try feeding and eventually rub more and more of the rat on the mouse till it takes and then try a straight rat. Some jcps i have had refused all methods so i continued feeing mice untill they could take chicks( which they do quite easily) and then move on to larger chicks which are cheap and nurishing as well and have a lower fat content.
hope it all goes well
Cheers
