Veiled/Panther Chameleon enclosure questions

I've been checking through www.bigappleherp.com for
a reptarium and general enclosure needs.
I'm going to be picking up a male Panther or Veiled Chameleon within the next two weeks... The repariums I'm looking at are 30"x30"x72", 175G and 30"x30"x48", 260G. The six footer just seems like more of a deal and a showcase, being only $20 more than the four footer. Is there any big difference between
the species that would dictate the heighth of the cage?
Also, I've noticed that most misters don't cover this large of a cage (260G). Would it be better to hand mist the cage with a spray bottle? And if I do this will it eliminate the need for a drip system?
Lastly... Ficus Trees are one of the recommended live trees to use in the reptarium, but after inspection it would seem that the branches are too thin to support the weight of a chameleon... is there a more
secure plant?
I would love an experienced chameleon owner to answer my "newb"
questions. Thanks!
