One or two rats or one large meal weekly. At 5 foot one can expect approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches per month per pound of food ingested. Example: 4 one pound rats = 6 to 8 inches per month if the snake is between 5 and 6 feet. As the snake grows, however, this percentage drops geometrically and it requires much more weight in food to achieve each unit of growth.

:What type of feeding schedule do you recommend on a 5 foot+ Burm on XL Rats? And what sort of growth rate should I look for in her? She is very well fed, and I have the accommodations for her permanently no matter how large she gets. I don’t want to push her too hard because I want her healthy. Any advice is really appreciated.
