I am thawing some frozen mice and rats now as I type this. I guess this means I prefer feeding my snakes frozen/thawed. My snakes have always done extremely well with this and for convenience's sake, it is easier for me. In about 35 minutes, I have thawed out, dried off, and fed all my snakes.

A friend of mine once had a yellow anaconda that had its eyes chewed out by a live rat.

Some like to feed live just to see the snake constrict and kill the prey. Heck, most of my snakes still go nuts even when feeding thawed.
