Pine Snake Digestion Question

Hi all,
One of my current roommates owns, among other things, a Northern Pine snake. It is a bit of a finicky eater, but normally will take a live rat pup if given time. The problem however that I have noticed is when it deficates. Both, he and I have noticed that a large amount of hair is still present in the pine snakes feces. It doesn't seem to be able to digest the fur, and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this in any of there snakes? And if so, what are possible causes of this occurance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris
