I have had that happen with ball pythons before. Sometimes after feeding if the sent of the rodent still lingers an animal can still be pretty pumped up and reflex strike. If I have to house more than one animal together, I always rinse them off with water after a meal and before returning them to their environment. It is pretty crazy to think that a snake can swallow something the same size that it is. Jason, did your snake regurge? Is it still living? The baby ball that ate another did die apparently from swallowing such a large item. Ruptured stomach? Interesting pics and topic. Thank you for posting! Take care!
