If you decide to get a cloubrid (corns, kings, milks, etc) Make sure you have a really good tight top to the cage. I would get the "tuff" top screen lids and buy the clamps. I have yet to see the smallest snake get out of that. But corns snakes, king snakes and milk snakes (and other cloubrids) are very, very good at geting out. And you may find one in bed with you if you don't have the cage setup right, (I have had this happen)
