100 year old Eastern box turtle

Thanks for sharing the cool story about the 100-year-old. I have had an extremely old female three-toed in the recent past (someone stole her from her pen last year). My turtle's carapace and plastron were polished smooth, like she had been in a rock tumbler, and she had cataracts in both eyes. I figured she had to have been at least 80 years old. I found her crossing a highway near Diamond, Mo. Although she was wild-caught, she must have previously been a pet at some point in her life, as she was very tame, would follow me around like a dog to beg for food.
