Two questions about Eastern box turtles...

I can't remember for sure, but I thought I heard celery has no nutritional value for a box turtle so its not worth giving it to them, is this true? Also, I wanted to get some grass growing in some areas in my pen, is it alright to just put grass seed in there, or is it bad for the turtles if they decide to eat any of the seeds? Thank you in advance for any help.
