Cypress Rose Mulch - is it safe?

Hey All,

I am looking to add mulch to my outdoor box turtle pen to prevent so many weeds from growing in the summer.

I was thinking going to local gas station that sells Cypress Rose Mulch and wanted to see if it was safe. I say gas station because I only want/need a few bags.
