In the past 12 hours, the outpouring of support from the herpetocultural community has been overwhelming. I have just spent the past several hours replying to and forwarding emails regarding the raffle or making contributions to the Tubbs family.

Many of these emails have been offers to build and host a web site for the purposes of the raffle. I have forwarded each of those messages to John LaCorte, who has undertaken the daunting task of coordinating the raffle.

Before the raffle was taken down yesterday, 91 of the 500 tickets had been spoken for, which was a far better response than anyone had hoped for. The names of those who had already spoken for tickets has been recorded, and those requests will be honored when the raffle resumes.

To avoid any appearance of impropriety, I have removed myself from contention for the albino boa, which is only fair. My only regret however, is that I cannot do more to help the Tubbs family this holiday season.
Merry Christmas to all,
Ken
