well...hmmm. that snake sounds like my male colombian rainbow boa. I have a male wc (I have had him well over 2 years) and he is a finicky eater, I am lucky to get him to eat 2 or 3 times every couple months, if he is getting ready to shed he acts jerky, if he is in shed he acts jerky, and right after shed he acts jerky. (all the while refusing food. but when he does eat he eats ft) that is the only guess I have towards what his problem is.. That and being loose in a cool basement for a while.
