You are getting upset/defensive with me because you did not clearly state what you have right now. You asked the question...And, I answered it. Since it is not what you want to hear you are getting defensive?

A large boa can kill a small dog. Will it? I don't know. If you have it caged in a "professional" style cage it won't get out. If you put it in tank like aquarium it could.

A male boa will max out around 8ft. Give or take....Genetics depending. So, that sounds like what you want. You are right about feeding. An 8ft foot boa would eat at least 2-3 jumbo rats every two weeks. Possibly every 3 weeks. I feed my 8ft Argentine 3-4 jumbo rats once a month.

You would do better to remove the chip off your shoulder if you want your questions answered.
