I don't think that MOST boas should EVER be hybridized. But I do think that it's okay to "jazz up" colombians with some beautiful suri or guyana blood to make them more beautiful and mare valuable (thus less expendable). But only with the intention of making a better colombian,.. never to make a cheaper suriname or guyanan. And I would think that there is little need to make albinos out of other species. The existing albinos look fine just as they are (most, anyway) and they can be outcrossed with other unrelated colombians. So genetic diversity is not reason enough. And I can't believe for an instant that anyone is stupid enough to pollute hogg blood when they are extinct in the wild. That is just grossly negligent. Pure hoggs are soon to be worth more than anyone imagines.

:Why are people hybidizing boas? They are MUTTs, plain and simple. Some of the excuses are: hybrids occur in the wild, and "they will be microchipped" so people know what they are getting. I think the pure locals should be kept pure. I could get a male albino columbian and breed him to my hogg island females----but WHY?? I just do not understand...
