the blue tongue is an excellent pet but there are others too.like a fire skink.they get to almst a foot and tame well.there is a issue of reptiles magazine that has a section of care and breeding on them.If you did get a crested or a gargoyle gecko,both of these have a diet on the market that t-rex has made.this is alot easier than crickets.goto lllreptile.com and see the diets.hope this helps
