I can't think of any friendly one foot long lizards that would be able to live with each other. Mixing species just isn't a good idea, especially for someone who only has amphibian experience. You might be happy with water dragons, ackies, bearded dragons, or some of the more tractable skink andgecko species, but not all together!
To tell you the truth, if I had that much space, my dream set up would be about three pairs of crocodile skinks (Triblonotus), who would love a part water setup and are very cute. The downside is that they are a bit expensive even as wild caughts.
