I think a beardie would be a good choice as they're robust enough to take a little prodding and such. You might want to buy one that's a little older than a baby so you can be sure that it's tame. Most beardies are tame, but, for example, mine enjoys biting and running away. A blue tongue skink might be a good idea too, and I think they tame up pretty well too.
