i would suggest against a monitor if you want something that is easy to handle... they are known to bite when you first buy them, but can be tamed...

i would suggest a uromastyx, they are similar to bearded dragons as far as personality, and are as easy to care for.

:Beardies are you best bet. They have great personalities, and are easier to care for, and cheaper than a monitor. But i think that yellow ackies (ridgetail monitors) could live in a 100 gallon
