That's like saying... I'm not nuts about cats, I had a bengal tiger... They're not ALL huge and nasty :)!
Getting back to lizards, I think frilled dragons are awesome, but I'm not sure how handleable they are. That would probably be my dream lizard for a tank that size though. Pretty cool looking and a lot different from monitors. There's a frilled dragon forum you could check out.

Im not nuts about snakes, I had a riticualting python... lets not go there.
