Purchasing/selecting geckos: advice needed

Several months ago, I have been trying to get day geckos. I could not find anyone who would ship one to me cheap, and for the longest time I tried to get my local shop to order some day geckos. They searched for a long time, with no luck. That was better than two months ago. I gave up. Then yesterday, I get a phone call form the store, saying they have two male gold dust day geckos for $49.99 each. I already have a empty ten gallon with a screen lid, plus full spectrum fluorescent lighting and a basking light. I could get some cork bark and pothos cuttings that I already have, plus a mist bottle, and set up the cage quickly. I even have some peat-based potting soil ready. But for crying out loud, I don't know if I have the money to get this gecko now. The cash I had saved I spent on other things. I'm a poor college kid and I have a vehicle to take care of, Christmas presents to buy for my parents, etc.

What should I do?
