My first suggestion is to check with the school itself and see what the rules for the dorms are. Many dorms have size requirements for pets or do not allow them at all. After we know that, it will be easier to suggest choices... BUT most reptiles are omnivorous. Perhaps a pet snake would be a bit easier simply because you can easily buy mice in bulk and keep them in a dorm size freezer.

Cindy

:Hey all,
: So here's my situation in a nutshell: I live in a dorm, and am looking to get a pet. Fish are too boring, I find, and I want to get something cooler than fish, preferably a reptile (like a gecko or something). However, due to the fact that it's a huge pain to get off-campus to get crickets and such, I'm looking to get a pet that's down with just eating veggies and pellets and such. Oh, and it's gotta be a reptile of some sort, since my roommate is allergic. So basically, I'm looking for a vegetarian reptile...what's out there that'll fit this description?
