Ok I have a 400 watt metal halide lamp, it uses has it's own huge balist in a box.
It's an extremely bright light with its white metal dome cover. But It's way to hot for any enclosure other then a 10X10 room.
Hey, I just might as well get rid of the guest room use this lamp and I'd have some happy dragon's :) LOL
Anyway just how hot do those 150 Watt metal halide lamps get and do they screw into a regular socket? Do they require their own separate balist?
