:Well first off there is really no need for everyone to get so defensive and testy.

:All I want is the best for my dragon, which I am sure all of you do too.

:You know what I dont understand? How can all these products be made and sold and not have to be tested and approved by appropriate people (scientists, medical doctors, veterinarians, approved board to over look it all) etc. It just seems that anybody can make a product and market it as better, safer, more natural etc and not have to list ingredients, not have to have it regulated! These are things we have our dragons ingest. I for one worry!

:To 99.9%, its about the money! Most are in it for the buck nothing else.

:I am not trying to start a fight. All I want is whats best for my dragons! How can I find out whats best? Thats what I want to know. It shouldnt be about peoples OPINIONS! It should be about hard facts, research, tests etc.

:So wheres the research?? On any of the products!! Lindsay

In defense of the maker of the product....he is a breeder and was looking for better products for his reptiles....he couldn't find what he wanted....did some research and developed his products and tested them on his own animals with great results....of course he is in business and I'm sure he saw that he could offer a great couple of products as well as expand his business....though knowing Val the benefit to reptiles was uppermost in his mind. Even whole food products at health stores for humans do not go to the FDA.....so pet ones aren't either. I agree, before you give your reptile something, you need to do some of your own research as I did before trying his products. I think the defensiveness came from the statement about a product as if the party had facts that showed it wasn't what it said......most people will jump to the defense of friends when they feel they are being slighted.....that's all it was. Please contact Val yourself and he'll gladly share the info with you and then you can do some research to check it out.
