I guess there could be some background we don't know. Although I wouldn't say I know Corey well I've never known him to be malicious and he is usually being rather helpful.
Snakes just die sometimes. I have no idea if it died or not, but if it did maybe it was 50 years old when imported. Kevin's proven he knows how to take care of snakes and breed them so I don't see how one dieing would reflect badly. Sometimes I get the idea that people put way too much importance on things they may not have any control over, like the % mutant hatch in breedings involving hets or possible hets. If a clutch comes out high or low for you it's not like anyone thinks it's a reflection on your personal worth, do they? Maybe if I had more ridding on my projects I would take them more personal.
