Ball Python locality question............

Hi all!
I was wondering about the different localities of ball pythons.
I've heard conflicting things from many different people and am wondering what is correct.
Of the different localities, Togo, Benin, Ghana, etc......
which, if any, gets bigger?
Has anyone ever done a true study on the subject?
Is there any reliable way to tell the differences between the different localities?
