Also, what happens with the ones they lay on the heat tape, do they do ok also? I was worried about that so for my first attempt at material incubation I'm using a rack with 11” heat down the back but I really don't know what I'm doing and am hoping the mom can compensate for my mistakes. I don't have a good room humidifier so I'm trying moss in the box but I can't tell if I'm over or under humidifying. I'm thinking of building a new rack especially for maternal incubation with taller boxes, how high are the boxes you use? Maybe I'll just chicken out stick to artificial incubation, hard to trust all the variables.
