I totally know what it feels like to wake up in the middle of the night and have this sudden urge to check on your snake. When I came home from work/school one night, I check my bp's favorite hide and he's not there! After tearing my room apart for the better part of an hour (Moving things away from walls, checking bedsheets and mattresses, etc), I walk over to my window to pull the blinds down so that the whole neighborhood doesn't have to watch me searching frantically. And, wouldn't you know it, but my bp had somehow crawled onto the window ledge and was in the wierdest position. I don't know how he does it, but bp's are the best escape artists.
Your story however, was very unique. I sure as hell hope my snake doesn't get that adventerous. =)
