Last time I checked NERDs web site spiders where listed at 25k limited avail. I think these where males.
At any rate why would a female spider be cheaper? Well because a single female would only produce a single clutch. A normal male breed to a spider will (should) produce spiders. So you got a single clutch of spiders.
However, a single male ball python will breed several females. Say he bred 4 females and they all took. You should see a decent number of spiders. So, with this being a dom trait (To the best of my knowlage, this has NOT been proven co-dom as no super spiders have been produced) they males would be worth more because they would breed more females thus producing more spiders faster.
This is just the way I see it. I hope I make since.
