VPI uses it, NERD uses it, I've used it... I have stopped two mite ifestations in my collection by spraying BK on the snakes and their cages and by spraying the floor space around the cages with a product called "Fleatrol" that is available in pet stores. I have not noticed any ill effects in my snakes. If I thought it was dangerous I would not be using it on expensive and treasured albino, pastel, orange ghost, and het caramel ball pythons.
