Thai snakes??

I need a complete list of snakes occuring in the Phuket area. Anyone know were to get one?
The thing is that a friend of mine encountered a snake at a hotel there (looks like a colubrid from a photo I saw). The people at the hotel claimed it was a cobra, which it definately was not. So now I`m trying to identify the snake.
Please help.
