Japalua splendiada come from mountain area ( 380m to 2520m) of central, southwest and northwest China. J. splendida like to take insect, especially ladybird. I have no experience to keep J. splendida but J. szechwanensis.

: Can anyone give me information on this lizard? I have one who just laid eggs and want to try to incubate them as well as give her a good habitat. I know it originates in Asia (central I think) and I have very basic information on it but would like to know more. Where exactly do they come from, what is the general climate there? I had read something about hibernation, is this true? What about breeding? How many eggs is typical, how long do they incubate and in what conditions....This type of information would be very helpful. Observation of them either in the wild or captivity might give me a better understanding. Thank you!
: Pic of her during egg laying included...
