My earlier comments were based upon raising both. From my experience, vents are better suited to beginners in all the categories you mention - with a possible tie in prolific - simply because although imitator lay fewer eggs, the tads morph more quickly. My imitator have always been shy, although many say their's are bold. I agree with another person's comments that imitator are less forgiving in general. If you had more experience it would not be a big deal, but considering the 1-month length of time you have been keeping darts...

:Oh and, I don't have nearly the amount of info on Vents as I do on Imitators. Could anyone direct me to someplace for info.
I would just do a general search on google. Or post your question on frognet.org. There are more experienced folks there.
