It's easy and cheaper to breed them. I end up with too many

I usually order a thousand adults and transfer them into a big rubbermaid with eggcrate, automatic waterer, etc... Put a couple fairly deep (2 to 3 inches) containers with moistened vermiculite inside. I use 12 inch deli-cup type containers. I make a quarter sized hole in the lids. This keeps the crickets from scattering the vermiculite everywhere. I leave the containers in with the crickets for a couple of days. Them I move the containers to a smaller rubbermaid and make sure they are warm. After 7 to 10 days I end up with about 50 to 70 thousand pin heads (at a guess). They grow pretty quickly, but I still save money in the long run. I usually order crickets once a month or even less, instead of 2 or 3 times a month. Good luck.
