I recently recieved a male green anole that is missing its front feet. However, when I placed him in a 15 gal aquarium with my female, problems occured. The male started extending his throat fan and doing head bobs, and the female also did head bobs. But then, the female began jerkily stalking the male and attacking it. I have never seen such aggressive behaviour in a female! I am absolutely positive that i am right in my sexing, as the male has both obvious hemipenes and a large head and build, along with a large throat fan. The female has very little to no throat fan and has previously mated with a different male(which is now housed by itself)
Why is my female so aggressive?
