Good luck to you then. I just got back from a long weekend at Del Rio and enjoyed the trip. We averaged about 3 snakes a night. But this is the early part of the year, and things could break loose any time. Planning a longer trip at the end of the month.

My advice to hunt out west, be persistent, be consistent. An easy mistake to make is to get bored when you are not seeing stuff out. That does not mean it is a bad night, stay out late and keep at it anyway. Pick your locality and stick with it, if you spend all your time driving from one locality to the next you are cutting your odds way down.
