I really like the way rattlesnakes will tend to flatten it out while crawling on top of it. Aesthetically speaking, it's my favorite by far.

I think the reason it looks messier is because rattlesnakes poop on top of it and it's real conspicuous-looking and kingsnakes poop under it so you can't see it right away.
