This seems to be common place for wild alterna. the suggestion by Troy
is probably the best method, but I have found that scenting will work
but One thing not many people do that works great is to use frozen
paramyscus ssp. If you ask around I am sure that someone will be able
to send you some. I believe they are going for about 2 dollars each.
I would send you some, but I just started breeding them again.

I know of 2 people that have tried this tecnique on WC alterna this year
and it worked first time for them

let us all know how whichever tecniques worked
