well i am only going to keep him for a week and then once hes fat back to the wild. so will be be ok without uv. my old friend had one for 5 years in a 5g tank. with no uv heat rocks ect. though with regulary feeding and water he lived a good life and was really tame. though that was back when we knew squat about proper animal care. Hes already ate 2 crickets in the last 24h so i think he will be ok just needs to ajust and then he will go into feeding frenzies. I once had an adult in a 20-30g long. it was setup like a deseart with a non-spiny cactuss and sand. though he had a water dish. and i would put black beatles in there and he would kiill them like no tommorow! i bought him 6 crickets once and he ate all of them in 15 secounds flat!!!

:good luck
