Northern Alligator Lizard - Bite??

In early September, we found one in our living room in Washington. We quickly adapted it as a family pet. Kids love it - but I fed it. It loves meal worms, and is now eating out of my hand. But its growing so big so fast - do they grow teeth? Will it bite? I grew up with frogs and garter snakes - but nothing like this. The local pet store hasn't a clue! Anyone know the in's and out's on these guys? My daughter has show & tell Friday the 13th- I'm afraid to take it out of the big aquarium into a carrying cage to school. Will it bite? Any info would be great. Thanks
