General Questions I guess

Hi Recently I colected 2 Aligator lizards "below" I am still awaiting help in positivly I.Ding them but I had a question about feeding. It was my understanding "And the lady at the pet stores" that from time to time they can eat pinkys. Manly for proteen and only about once a month she said. Is this true? Also The enclosure stays around 77F and 84F is that ok? in there temerary enclosure I am using 2 20W lights with your basic plastic fish tank full hood. Thanks in advance for the help.
