Handling the Gator

My gator is a month old and when I got her she snaped at me but appeared to have calmed down. I have not picked her up in 5-6 days. Now she acts as if she will bite my finger off if I try to take her out of her housing and hisses almost every time I walk by. I know you can not truly tame a gator but does anyone have any suggestions on how much I should handle her or to calm her down. She has places to hide in her home.
Thanks.
