Look under everything and if it is warm in your house search during the night or morning. Man it could last anywhere from a day to years. They can regulate their body temps in the house and feast on all the bugs and spiders around the house. At my grandpas house he used to see the same alligator lizard in and around his garage for years! Good luck and don't give up!
