: : : :
: : : : Angolan pythons require care similar to
: : : : a ball python. The two species are almost
: : : : (but not) related. Are you thinking of
: : : : getting some? For quality animals, they
: : : : *only* cost around $8000USD/pr. If you are
: : : : interested, let me know. I may be getting
: : : : some shortly.

: : : Tyhanx 4 the info but you live just that bit to far away.
: : What country do you live in? These snakes can
: : be shipped worldwide with the proper CITES
: : documentation. These snakes are EXTREMELY rare.
: : They cost a lot, but are worth it if you are
: : interested in breeding them. Only a few have
: : been found in the wild and legally exported.
: : Currently, the export of these animals from their
: : native country is not allowed.
: i live in England(uk) i agree these snakes are worth it but i cant get hold of that sort of money im only 15 thanx for your help any way
Angolans require quite a different environment to ball pythons. They are a desert dwelling snake that requires a moderately high humidity and quite a high level of temperature fluctuation(ie hot days and cool nights) with a well defined winter cool-down. Spend a night in Northen Namibia in the middle of winter and you will see exactly what I mean. They should always be provided with an overhead hot-spot in one part of the (large)enclosure that is switched off at night. Regular spraying and good drainage is a must. Ball pythons hail from tropical to semi tropical grassland and savannah, and are generally found in burrows and termite mounds etc.
These two snakes are very closely related.
