: : Anyone captive breeding the Eastern Tiger Snake (Telescopus semiannulatus)? Thanks for the e-mail on the aurora.
: : Robert
: I am very interested in this species as well, but have yet to locate any. How about you?
I haven`t managed (tried) to breed them, but friends of mine have,
It seems that you should treat them as with any subtropical snake,
and give them a cooling down period, otherwise maintain them at about
28 deg cel. and keep them separate.
I once caught a Gravid female in the Northern Transvaal,
and hatched 8 babies from 8 eggs (good going), the
problem was the babies all averaged about 10cm and
weren`t even 5mm thick, I had a problem feeding them.
If you want a picture, tell me and I`ll mail you one.
Cheers and good luck
