I was wondering if anyone has any research to explain why blind snakes whose listed known prey is termites, ants & their larvae & eggs, is supposedly being decimated by the foreign fire ant. Obviously whatever means these snakes have to protect themselves from "regular" ants does not work on these foreign fire ants. Are there any other species of blind snakes native to the foreign fire ants home range that may prey upon them?
