For those who keep talking about wanting to get started in biology, but can't attend traditional classes. Well, here is a great opportunity to take the first step toward becoming a herpetologist. Mountain State University is a fully accredited university that also has programs for us non-traditional students. The degree is a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies, meaning you may choose biology as your concentration. It also offers all the lab courses needed as well, including chemistry and biology. Bottom line is you must be extremely disciplined and devote hours to this just like you would when you attend regular classes. I am doing it because I travel 5 days a week and unable to attend regualr college classes. This is the first step toward graduate study. I have talked too many graduate schools and they see this as very acceptable, but more importantly they saw this as someone who is dedicated to advancing oneself. I got favorable remarks from the grad schools. So, go for it...here's the answer to those who can't go to regualr college.
